To provide education and experience in SHP’s beekeeping best practices resulting in improved honeybee health and sustainability.

Quiet Box
A safe and protective environment for the queen during colony management. Also, can be used to start a nucleus colony when other woodenware is not readily available.

Quiet Cloths
A vinyl cloth material with minimal memory function used to cover an open hive and protect it from the ambient environment. Minimizes stress on the colony and reduces stress for the beekeeper!

Warm Hive Stands
Allows for ergonomic “file cabinet” style manipulation of frames with the beekeeper standing behind the hive, the opposite side from the bees entrance. Innovative design promotes hive ventilation.

Nucleus Hives
SHP primarily focuses on the use of 5-frame nucleus colonies for raising bees because the hives are much easier for an inexperienced beekeeper to work and colony growth is more easily observed than using an 8-frame or 10-frame colony as is typical of honey production hives.
