Team SHP went to FitWize summer camp in Ashburn to speak with 80 kids, rising 1st to 7th graders on honeybee facts, beekeeping basics and the importance of bees and pollinators.

SHP set up stations for the kids to have a close up look at wax comb, hive equipment, protective gear and honey extraction. As each station was visited, we provided lots of hands-on learning and enjoyed questions and answers with the group. The highlight of the event was the 2 observation hives for the children to see these amazing pollinators.
