SHP welcomed the Loudoun Country Day School for an educational day, packed with activities designed to teach the students the basics of beekeeping, and the importance of honeybees to the environment, as well as our food supply.
The day was broken out into different areas, where the students were able to make pollination bombs, learn about hive configurations, clean equipment and make frames. After suiting up, the students then participated in hive inspections with SHP beekeepers.
