There is a delicate balance at this time of year with respect to feeding. On one hand you want strong hives going into Winter. On the other hand, too much feeding can take up too much space. The bees will make honey from the sugar water and not have room for egg laying. This balance may be made even more delicate because most of our hives are nucs, This week we even saw nectar being placed in a cell with larvae.
