Today there were several swarms around the yard. Some were low on tree trunks and branches. Some were way high up. The bucket on a pole came in handy. I think just about every base has a hive now. One swarm left the hive we put it in shortly after we put it in there. There was some talk that we misjudged how far along the queens cells were when we made splits earlier in the month. Maybe we should have split when we saw those drone brood cells all capped.
